Text Messaging as a Means to Marketing
Marketing comes in many shapes and sizes; From newspapers to magazines - to e-mail - and now text messaging? That’s right - text messaging.
There is a services called BroadTexter (www.broadtexter.com). It’s been around for a couple years now, but has just started to catch on. You can use Broadtexter to create an opt-in database of text subscribers. You can text these subscribers anytime you wish via the online interface. The service also allows you to filter the list down by region and location, if you want to send regional messages.
So what are some the uses of Broadtexter?
- Bands can use it to announce new shows, tour dates, and concerts to their followers.
- Corporations can accounce new products and services to their loyal customers.
- Organizations, Clubs, and other Social Groups can use it to broadcast important information to its members.
- Colleges and Universities can use it to announce rennovation, closed roads, violence, etc.
- Cities can use it to broadcast emergency information, traffic updates, etc.
- News stations can use it to announce severe weather.
There are literally millions of reasons to check out this service. I haven’t started using broadtexter yet, but I plan to for my next company launch. Check it out now! It’s free!!! www.broadtexter.com

Steve Eilers
